I’m proud to present my new simple guestbook. It’s based on my PPHLib libraries, most of which are also used in Pigalle, my photo gallery script, and the upcoming PPhlogger3 counter hosting tool.
This guestbook should stay as simple as it is now. It’s a replacement for the outdated Livre d’Or (written by Jean-Pierre Dézélus, phpinfo.net) that was running for the last two years on iezzi.ch.
YaBook uses a template engine which makes it easy to embed the script into your own site layout. It runs on PHP > 4.1.0 and supports any of the following database systems: MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Sybase, Ibase, FrontBase.
There still needs to be some work done, so I’m not going to make it available to public till the end of 2003.
Once it gets released, it’s going to be released under the GNU GPL, promised!

Launching Pigalle 0.2-dev on iezzi.ch
Pigalle is a simple picture gallery (say: Pi-Galle) script based on PPHLib libraries. I was writing on that script together with Ari Muljana during our multimedia seminar work in WS2002/03. It supports various graphic libraries (ImageMagick, GD-lib, NetPBM) and uses the same database abstraction layer which the upcoming PPhlogger3 is going to use.
Finally it got time to run Pigalle on iezzi.ch as a replacement for Wihphoto. During the last couple of days there have been a whole bunch of hacking attempts on my server due to a vulnerability in Wihphoto’s code.
Pigalle has not yet been released. It’s still in development and will be ready by the end of 2003.

PPhlogger3 project information now available

photo gallery – Finally you’re able to see my fotos. I’m using the nice WihPhoto script from Michael Wihsböck [www.wihsy.com]. Now I’m able to kick all my fotos in full quality on my server and then all other formats are getting generated automatically using the GD-lib and ImageMagick. I do really recommend Wihsy’s great script – well done!
